Strengthening the Community–School Connection

Our public schools thrive on the strength of our community. The Harvard Schools Trust uses a membership model as a primary funding source to foster community engagement and personal connection between community members and the Harvard Public Schools. By joining the Harvard Schools Trust, you provide a direct link between a thriving community and exceptional public schools.

Your annual gift is more than a donation - it is a commitment to fostering innovation and opportunity for every Harvard Public Schools student. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, your contribution is fully tax-deductible. To keep you connected, all members receive our monthly newsletter featuring stories of the local impact your generosity makes possible.

Why Your Support Matters

Your annual membership is a charitable investment that directly funds essential educational initiatives that extend beyond the constraints of the District budget, including:

  • Supplemental and experiential learning: supporting co-curricular and extracurricular programs, site visits, guest speakers, and hands-on workshops across STEM, the arts, and humanities.
  • Student inspiration and future-readiness: investing in student-led projects, emerging technologies, and future-ready skill development that sparks curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Educator empowerment and innovation: funding teacher-led initiatives, innovative classroom grants, and specialized professional development.
  • Community-school connection: cultivating programs, events, and partnerships that bridge the gap between town residents, parents, local organizations, and the school district.
  • Equity, access and belonging: providing need-based scholarships and funding to eliminate financial barriers for student participation in school trips, activities, and enrichment programs.
